my little Hooligans

Yet another adorable paper pack from the current idea book, Hooligans. The little felt monsters are to die for. This was one of the club layouts for October, and the only one I have pictures on.

Olivia Club Layouts

Olivia is my favorite paper pack from the current idea book. I have no idea why, since I have 2 little boys and I'm NOT a girly-girl. I just love the greens, oranges and pinks in this paper pack.

These were the club layouts for November. Even though I have those rough and tumble little boys I managed to fill the pages just fine. As a matter of fact, I've done a few more pages for a trip the hubs and I are going to take in March. Nothing like the dream of a weekend away....without children!

Oh me, oh my... it's been a long time.

It has been a very VERY long time since I've posted. I do apologize, things have been crazy in my little world. The boys both started school a few months ago and I feel like I never stop driving. As soon as I get home from dropping the last one off, I have 2 hours until I have to get the first one. Just a few more years and they'll both be in school full time.... I have no idea what I'll do with all that free time... ha ha ha ha ha ha.

The layouts below are the 3 layouts we will do at our December Club meeting. They don't look so hot without pictures on them, but once there are they will be super cute.

Just a little FYI for you. Close to my Heart is changing up the way they're doing things. We will be going to 2 books per year, with 6 new paper packs per book. The paper and embellishments are only going to be available during the current Idea Book. (This all begins Feb 2011). So, if you love this adorable paper pack, and embellishments (the poinsettia flowers are the cutest thing ever) you'd better get it while you can! This, as well as all the papers/embellishments in the current book are going to retire Jan 31, 2011.

Twiterpated Workshop - September Lancaster Pages

These are the September club pages for the Lancaster group. Close to my Heart changed the way they package the workshop kit and when I was trying to figure out layouts, I couldn't decide between the last 2 and with a little paper substitution, you can get all 8 pages! The Sweet Leaf photo mats are not included, I just added them to show you where your pictures go.

beach layouts

Friday was Leo's birthday and we went to the beach for the day. The boys had a blast. Martel and I did too. :) It was the most perfect beach day. Mid 70s and sunny with a gentle breeze. Amazingly, the water wasn't too cold.

A lot of these, OK all of them, were ones that I had done before and they just needed some pictures on them and were good to go. I got all 5 layouts done in an hour. The hardest part was deciding which pictures to print.

OK, so this isn't the beach. We went to Grandma and Grandpa's yacht club for dinner that night.

This is an A Page 4 All Seasons layout that I had. It goes perfectly with these pictures. Leo was all about playing in the sand. I cannot believe how much he had on him!

This one is another A Page 4 All Season's layout. Aaron had fun laying on me and smooshing my face. Ahhh! Silly boy!

Aaron LOVED the water. He wasn't too keen on the sand and didn't like it on him. He kept deciding that he didn't want to be on the sand and would make his way down to the surf.

Just some random pictures from the day.

July Club Pages - Back Country

Here are the club pages for July. These are with the new Back Country paper pack and great for all those outdoor photos.
This page calls for one 4x6 and three 6x4 photos
This is Imagine Balanced Rhythm (pg 84). The photo suggestions are: five 2.5x5 (or one 5x7 like the one of Leo I cut into the smaller pieces and then two 2.5x5) photos, two 5.5x5, and two 2.5x2.5 photos.

This is Imagine Rhapsody (pg 81). The photo suggestions are: five 5.5x3, one 7x5, two 3x3 and one 5x7. These pictures are 5 years old and I didn't have the sizes the layout called for so I totally improvised and made the pictures I had work. If you want to see what it's "supposed" to look like, click here.

Here are the June club layouts. These use the new Tinkerin paper, which is something I totally love. Sorry about the late and short post!

Sneak Peak

Here's a sneak peak at one of the new paper packs in the CTMH Summer Idea Book. You are going to love, love, love this one! CTMH has done it again, great new papers and accessories.

This paper pack, Moon Doggie, will be used in our May Club meeting. I'm going to try something new this time. For just $3 more (total of $28) you can keep the rest of the paper pack to create even MORE beautiful layouts and cards! Not to worry, I'll still cut the paper for you and just add the rest to your bag. Please let me know at our April club meeting (or leave a comment) if you're interested in the whole paper pack. Yet another bonus.... the Hostess Rewards will go up!

Anyone NOT in the club that wants to do this workshop, leave me a comment and I'd be happy to make you one and ship it to you. A $5 shipping charge will be applied.

Lancaster April Club Layouts

Things have been crazy busy around here lately. Summer, and the prep for summer is my busy time with my "real" job. I haven't had a lot of time to scrap much less post. I could tell you I'll be better about it but I won't, at least not any time soon.

That being said, here are the April Club layouts

This layout is one that was specially created and you won't find in any book. The white spot in the flower holds a 4 inch round photo and the right page has two 4x3 photos on top and two 5x3 photos on the bottom. Aaron will be 2 in May and I'm going to use this layout for his birthday pictures.

This layout is Imagine Role Play and calls for one 6x6 photo, one 4x6 photo and five 3.5x3.5 photos. I actually was going to print some for this layout, but wouldn't you know it, I'm out of ink!

This is Imagine, Full House and the book calls for different pictures than I used. Aaron has this great open mouth full belly laugh and has since he was a baby. He's always laughing (or the opposite, screaming. He's one loud kid!) and I wanted to chronicle that. I also got a voice recorder and recorded his laugh and will put it on the layout in the top left corner.

The acutal layout in the book calls for seven 2x2 photos, two 4x3 photos, one 4x6 and two 6x4 photo. I didn't have those printed already so I modified to fit my pictures.

Agua Dulce Club layout and cards

This month, the Agua Dulce club decided to do something a little different. Instead of two 2-page layouts, they decided they wanted to do one 2-page layout and a few cards. This is what I came up with. I'm proud to say that I was inspired by many but copied no one!

The layout is Imagine Shadow and calls for two 5x7 photos and two slightly smaller than 4x6 photos.

Just some random cards I made. The first two are standard 4.25 x 5.5 and the last one is 6x6

Tehachapi Club Card - Unforgettable

Here is the card for the Tehachapi Club. It's pretty much cased from Heather Gerard and uses the Unforgettable paper pack, Aspirations and Intrinsic Background stamp sets. There's really not much else to say about this card. But I've got 2 posts in a row now. LOL! Stay tuned tomorrow for the layout.

Tehachapi Club Layout - Unforgettable

Here is the layout for the Tehachapi Club. The ever lovely Yvonne went to the CTMH album retreat and this was one of the layouts they did there. It's Imagine Follow the Lead, page 71. The photo suggestions are four 4x4 and one 8x10. My "big" picture is an 8x10 that I trimmed to fit in the 7.5 x 7.5 frame.

Whoops, this one wasn't supposed to post until Thurs, but you get it early.

Lancaster February Club Kits - Unforgettable

Hi all! Here are the samples of the February kits featuring the Unforgettable paper pack. As a reminder, the kits are $25 and you don't have to order anything else. I hope you like them. The date and location of the February meeting is still TBD, but as soon as I find out, I'll let you all know. If anyone else wants a set of these pages, just let me know and I'd be happy to get them to you.

This is Cherish, Creative Rhythm, page 37. The photo suggestions are: one 4x4, one 4x5, two 6x4, three 3.5x3.5, one 4x6, and one 2x2.

This one is Cherish Designer's Eye, page 71. The photo suggestions are: two 3.5x5 and three 6x4

This is a new layout, not featured in any book. The photo suggestions are: one 6x4 and two 3.5x5.

Tehachapi Club Card - Key to my Heart

Here is the card for my Tehachapi club. It's Originals, Lucky Three and while there was some inspiration from Nancy Brown on the faux dry embossing, the rest is mine. Can you believe that I actually came up with something on my own??? My husband couldn't, the stinker. I'm not sure that I like the striped paper under the sentiment but it was late last night and I didn't want to change it. I used the January Constant Campaign promotion, Key to my Heart. The Tulip circle in the middle of the "flower" is covered with liquid glass for some dimension. The flower is actually 6 of the heart stamps that I cut out and arranged to look like a flower. It's also pop dotted for some depth.

Here's a close up of the faux dry embossing. You stamp the image with White Daisy and then your other color, slightly offset. I think my offset was a little more than slightly, but it's still a nice effect.

Agua Dulce Club Layouts

Here are the Agua Dulce layouts for the January meeting. The top layout are from the Reflections book and the bottom one is Imagine Up the Tempo. For the top layout I have two 4x5 1/2 photos on the left and one 6x4, and two 4x4 photos. For the bottom layout (that I shamelessly copied from Yvonne Poulsen) calls for one 8x6 (but I used two 4x6), one 4x6 and three 3 3/4 x 3 3/4 photos.

January Lancaster Club Pages

Here are the 3 layouts we will be making in January. The first one is a brand new CTMH layout not in any book. The 2 large pictures are 5x5 3/4 and the 2 small pictures are 2 3/4 x 5 inches. the second layout is Imagine Monologue and calls for one or two 4x6 pictures, one 6x4 and two 3x3 picutes. (for an example of what the layout looks like with pictures, click here although there are no expanding photo mats) The last layout calls for three 3x3, one 3x4 and two 5x7 photos.

October Lancaster layouts

Here are the Lancaster October layouts. The first one is the Magic Moments paper pack and the layout is Cherish Rise N Shine (page 108). It calls for three to four 4x4 photos (or leave one spot open for journalling) and three 5x3 photos. We will be dying paper flowers and using Sassy Strands this month.

The second layout was inspired by Becky Higgins of Creaking Keepsakes. I made my own paper as there really isn't any "Fall" paper this time around. I cut strips of cardstock in varying widths, either 1/4 inch or 1/2 inch and glued them to my base cardstock. I can hear the groans now, after that Random Stamping we did last month. But, never fear, I did it for you! I also stamp rolled the leaves and embossed the veins. This layout calls for one 6x4 and thirteen wallet (2x3). You will not get the white mats, I just put them on the layout so you'd get an idea of how the placement of the pictures will go.

Sept Agua Dulce Layout

Here's the layout for the September Agua Dulce meeting. It's Imagine, Perfect 5. The left page calls for one 5x7 and two 2x2 (although I stamped flowers on the little pieces). The right side calls for two 4x4 and one 4x6.

This month we will be using liquid glass. It's hard to see, but on the stamped images on the left, I used some liquid glass on the "stem" part and sprinkled prisma glitter on it. Makes it nice and sparkly.

Supplies used: Perfect Day paper pack, Cocoa Cardstock, Treasure Life stamp set, Life's Creation stamp set, liquid glass, prisma glitter

Lancaster September layouts

Here are the September layouts. The first one is with the new Perfect Day paper pack. It's Imagine Monologue and calls for two 6x4 photos, one 4x6 photo and two 3.5x3.5 photos. BUT, there were a few more pictures of Bryce and Leo playing so I made expandable (inspired by the ever talented Nona Davenport) photo mats to get more pictures on the layout. (The 4x6 mat on the right page is expandable also).
The second page is my example of the Random Stamping we are going to be doing in honor of National Stamping Day. For those of you that don't want blue, orange, yellow, and green circles, I'll have 2 other examples for you to choose from. I just haven't taken pictures of them yet. Because we'll be making our background paper, please bring your trimmer to the club meeting.
Supplies used Layout 1: Perfect Day paper pack, September Word puzzle, coco grosgrain ribbon, clear buttons, colonial white bigger brads. Ink: Tulip, Juniper
Supplies used Layout 2: white daisy card stock, Friendship Word Puzzle, Serendipity, Angel Whispers, Star Struck stamp sets. Inks: Sunny Yellow, Orange, Topiary, and Dutch Blue

The second Lancaster page

For once, I wasn't the one behind the camera, amazing! Anyway, the second August layout is with Let's Get Together (one of my personal favorite paper packs) and are Reflections layouts. The left side calls for one 5x7 and two 4x6 photos. The right side can be turned any way you want. I have two 6x4 photos and one 3.5x5 photo.
