A Huge Favor

I'm running very low on the zip top bags that I put your kits in. In the nearing days of $5 gas, I've got to save where I can. So, we're going to have a little contest. She who can bring in the most zip top bags to the next meeting will win a prize. How's that for incentive?

For some reason, I'm not able to send a group email. Somethings funny in the land of Martinez.

Thanks everyone, I really appreciate it. See you this weekend (or next month)

One set of the Lancaster groups July pages

OK, this is going to be a quick post. I've got freshly bathed (naked) babies in the family room waiting for mommy to get her behind in gear. ha ha ha This was inspired by the creative genius, Lisa Stenz.

This is the Blue Ribbon paper pack and from the Reflections book. The left side has space for two 4x6 photos and possibly one 3.5x3.5 photo. The right side has three (or 4) 3.5 x 5 photos.

As soon as I put the finishing touches on the second set of pages, I'll post them. Enjoy!

July's Challenge

OK, I know you've all be anxiously awaiting the next challenge, so here goes. This one is a little different than last time. This is a sketch challenge. I've posted a sketch of a layout and am eagerly awaiting what you talented ladies come up with.

Here are the rules, sketches are meant to be a starting point. Feel free to flip, resize, alter, or do whatever you need to make it work for you!!! Minor tweaks are expected, but if you feel a major overhaul is needed, wait for the next challenge. :)

As before, the winning layout will be chosen by my fellow CTMH sisters and the winner will win a fabulous prize! So, without further ado, here's the sketch. The squiggly line going down the side just means to add some sort of element there. I used buttons (y'all know how I love buttons) but you can use anything you want.

Ohhhh, you want to see my example do you? Ok, here it is.

Lancaster groups June pages

Sorry about taking my sweet time in posting pictures, but well, you know how things go. This layout is from Cherish, Color Celebration (page 30) It calls for five 3x3 photos, and one 6x6 (I used a 5x5 and double matted it)

I haven't finished it yet. I'm so totally blocked for a title, but hopefully will have one by the club meeting on Saturday.

This layout is from Imagine, Sweet Symphony (page 24) and is one of my favorite layouts. Your photo suggestions are one 6x4, two 4x6 and 3-4 3x3.

Agua Dulce group's June layouts

First of all, sorry about the quality of the pictures, I didn't want to take them out of the protectors with the little man around.

The first layout using Sarsparilla is Cherish Rise 'n Shine (page 108). It calls for three 4"x4" and three 5"x3" but I made mine a little bigger than that.

This second layout uses Whoops-A-Daisy and is from Imagine, Supporting Cast page 98. Here's an opportunity to get lots of pictures on your layout. It calls for two 4"x6", nine 2"x2", one 4"x4" and two 6"x4" pictures. I substituted one 6"x6" photo for one of the 4"x6" and three 2"x2" inch photos. This layout we will learn third generation stamping with rolling.

Finally, the May layouts!!!!!!!!

Ladies, here are the Lancaster group's May layouts. Sorry it's taken so long to post, but things have been pretty busy around here.

This first one is the new Whoops - A- Daisy paper and Imagine Stars Above (page 92). It calls for one 7.5 x 7.5 photo, one 9 x 7 photo, one 2.5 x 4.5 photo, one 3.5 x 5 photo, and 5 2.5 x 2.5 photos. Of course, you can always change things around a bit and use other size pictures.

This next one is using the new Sarsparilla papers and the Reflections book. The left side is Title Topper - Heading (page 17). It calls for one 6 x 4 and two 3.5 x 3.5 photos.

The right side is Sidebar - Original (page 40). It calls for two 4 x 6 photos and one 3 x 3 photo (or you can use that as a journaling spot, like I did (haven't journaled yet, of course)

We will be learning three different techniques this month, Stamp Kissing (like in the Daddy's Helper title), Stamp Rolling (Slide into Summer title) and heat embossing (the black thingy between the 2 photos on the right). Be prepared to have some fun!
